Welcome to Notes from the Perch

The Adventure Begins!

We’re very excited to introduce you to our brand new blog “Notes from the Perch.” Twice a month we’ll be talking about the outdoors, our loyal fans (you 😀), hammocking tips, and other cool stuff here at Wise Owl Outfitters. Well, let's get started, shall we?

WOO at the Oscars

Did you know that we were at the Oscars? That’s right! Our hammock was part of the 2020 Swag Bags that nominees received. We hope some of them were able to take a break after the big night and relax in our comfy hammock! Here’s a sampling of a few mentions . . .

First For Women

Relaxing like a celeb couldn't be any easier with this Wise Owls Oufitters hammock. It’s made from a high-quality parachute nylon that can hold roughly 400 pounds and packs down into a tiny storage bag the size of a grapefruit.Source

Apartment Therapy

“Lounge like a star using this easy-to-assemble hammock . . . Take it with you for outdoor expeditions or set it up at home–it’s outdoor friendly, so you don’t have to fret if bad weather hits unexpectedly when you’re enjoying an afternoon nap.” Source

Exciting stuff! We’re keeping an eye out, but let us know if you see any celebrities on social media with a WOO hammock. We'd love to see. 👀

How do you prefer your Marshmallow?

We had a great time chatting with all of our followers on Facebook about this question. Marshmallow roasting is a classic campfire treat, but how long should they be roasted? Take a look at the following graphic. Where do you fall? Leave a comment below and let us know your opinion on this sticky (or slightly burnt) topic.

We love hearing from our WOO community! 😀

We always love hearing stories about how our WOO community uses our products, whether it’s chilling in the backyard, a day hike, or an epic adventure! Feel free to email us with your stories at hello@wiseowloutfitters.com and we may just feature them on Facebook, Instagram, or right here on the blog.

Here’s a story we received just the other week. Thank you so much for the kind words Matt and Jennifer!

"In the last 3 years we have purchased more than 15 items from Wise Owl --- mostly for us and some for gifts. We have always been pleased with the quality and price. Our most recent piece of gear has been tested by our youngest daughter Taylor and is officially 'Taylor Tested' and 'Taylor Approved'. Thanks for all the great products...lots of good family memories with our Wise Owl gear." -- Matt and Jennifer

Here's a really great picture from another one of our fans. She has a fantastic setup - swaying in the breeze by a murmuring river. Sounds pretty relaxing, doesn't it? Also, her dog is adorable. Thank you so much for the picture Marion!

Well, that's all for this time! We hope you enjoyed this first issue of Notes from the Nest. Make sure you subscribe to our newsletter to get all the latest updates. Tune in on March 19th for our next issue. We'll be talking about some useful hammocking tips and other interesting topics. See you soon!
