Wise Owl Underquilts are Here!!

Hey WOO family!

We are excited to announce the release of our new Underquilt! We know a lot of you have been looking forward to it, and it’s finally here!

Stay insulated from the cold: The Wise Owl "Flare" underquilt for hammock camping is just what you need for a chilly day at the park, the lake, beach etc. It will keep you warm and toasty under whatever weather conditions you find yourself in!

High quality material and design: This hammock quilt was thoughtfully designed to hold up in the elements by using quality rip-stop nylon material. The quilt is extremely soft 20D nylon with a durable DWR water resistant coating. You’re insulated by a high density poly-fill (40 degree rated!) and supported by our signature re-enforced stitching throughout. Ease of use can't be beat!

Works for all hammocks: The Wise Owl "Flare" is both a single and a double hammock underquilt and can be used with virtually all camping hammocks on the market today. It's one of the finest and most versatile underquilts for hammocks available, with customizable tighteners to get just the right snug fit around your hammock.

“What is a hammock Underquilt, and how do you use one?”

Underquilts are designed to keep you warm when sleeping overnight in your hammock, particularly in colder weather.

Below are some universal tips that will help you create the warmest possible setup for your underquilt:

  1. To prevent it from getting wet or dirty on the ground, lay the quilt inside the hammock to start; then attach the ends and remove enough slack so that it won’t touch the ground when you slide it out of and under the hammock.
  2. Minimize the air space between the hammock (with you in it) and the top of the quilt. Snug up the adjustments to ensure the quilt is super close, but not so close that your body compresses it.
  3. Snug each end tightly to prevent air from flowing through.
  4. Secure any attachments along the sides to prevent airflow gaps from forming there.

You can get your very own Wise Owl Underquilt here:

That’s all we have for today. We hope you all have a wonderful week! (And stay warm!)

With love,

Wise Owl Team
